The gadget in the video is a sensor controlled electric skateboard. When the rider leans forward, the board accelerates and when the rider leans back the board decelerates to a stop. The board is completely hands free. In the video, the board is hooked up to a power supply, but a battery pack can be used. The Seg-Board was designed and manufactured by four Carnegie Mellon University mechanical engineering students.
